Another week wrapped up here in Koh Samui.Living on this island has a strange balance — life somehow feels both relaxed and quietly productive at the same time. This week was a perfect example.Between staff interviews for Mr Paparazzi’s World, design work on the Skyfall villa concept, recovery routines, cooking at Rockpool and the first tropical storm I’ve seen in months… a lot happened.Island life has its own rhythm. And once you settle into it, it’s a very good rhythm.

The Swan Neck Situation

One of the lighter stops this week was SFS Clinic just south of Chaweng, where Dr Gift worked a little magic tightening what they call the “swan neck.”

No filler. Just Botox and a tidy-up.

The clinic itself isn’t dripping in marble floors and luxury interiors like some of the bigger cosmetic spas. But it does have a very capable doctor. And sometimes that matters more than the décor.

The result was subtle, clean and exactly what I wanted. Let’s call it a small Samui tune-up.

The Skyfall Vision

Behind the scenes the bigger project evolving is Skyfall — a Bond-inspired clifftop villa concept I’m shaping here in Koh Samui.

  • Glass.
  • Water.
  • Ocean views.

Architecture that works with the landscape rather than fighting it. The concept is slowly taking shape through sketches, conversations and design thinking. It’s at that interesting stage where imagination begins turning into something real.

And if it comes together the way I see it in my head… It’s going to be spectacular.

Building Mr Paparazzi’s World

Another focus this week has been staff interviews for Mr Paparazzi’s World.

Building a team is always revealing. Some people come looking for a job. Others come looking to build something. You can normally tell within five minutes which group they belong to.

Four interviews in one morning alone. Good conversations, good energy and the feeling that this project is starting to gather momentum.

The Samui Recovery Circuit

Recovery has also become part of the routine here. One afternoon this week involved a two-hour massage with Mona — the beautifully painful kind that makes you question all your life decisions halfway through. But afterwards you feel incredible.

Then it was straight into the Legacy Spa recovery circuit:

  • Hot plunge
  • Cold plunge
  • Sauna
  • Repeat.

Professional athletes swear by this routine. And I can see why.

NAD, Needles & Nails

Later in the day I headed back to SFS Clinic for an NAD drip — a favourite of the biohacking crowd for energy and recovery. Science or placebo… I’ll happily take the boost.

Then something equally important: Nails with Bam. Because if you’re running a lifestyle brand, the details matter.

Cooking at Rockpool

One thing I’ve realised recently is how much I enjoy cooking at home. I haven’t eaten out at a restaurant once this week. Some people might say that’s a waste when you’re living in Thailand. But honestly, I’m enjoying my own cooking more.

The secret to great food is simple:

  • Great produce.
  • Fresh vegetables.
  • Fresh seafood.
  • Good meat.

Everything else is seasoning. A little salt. A little butter. That’s it.

What I Ate This Week

The Rockpool kitchen has been busy. Meals this week included:

  • Fresh fish
  • Ribeye steak
  • Chicken
  • Clean grilled meats
  • Steamed vegetables
  • Broccoli, cabbage and carrots
  • Mango and Chiang Mai strawberries
  • Plenty of tropical fruit

I’ve also been disciplined with sugar. Fruit only between 1pm and 3pm. No late-night sugar. And I’m feeling far better for it.

Shopping the Samui Way

Another routine I’ve fallen into is my weekly food circuit:

  • Local street markets.
  • Small produce stalls.
  • Upmarket food halls.
  • And for basics — Big C.

The quality of produce here is remarkable.

The First Rain in Months

Then this morning something unusual happened. For the first time in months, Koh Samui woke up to a proper tropical storm. Thunder rolling across the Gulf of Thailand. Heavy clouds drifting across the island.

The temperature dropped nearly 10 degrees to a perfect 26°C. After weeks of blazing sunshine, the cool air felt incredible.

Sometimes paradise isn’t sunshine. Sometimes paradise is simply being exactly where you want to be when the storm rolls in.

Highlights of the Week

  • Staff interviews for Mr Paparazzi’s World
  • Continued development of the Skyfall villa concept
  • Visit to SFS Clinic with Dr Gift
  • NAD drip in Chaweng
  • Recovery circuit at Legacy Spa
  • Cooking clean meals at Rockpool
  • The first tropical storm in months

Another Week Down

Another week in Koh Samui. Skyfall slowly evolving. Mr Paparazzi’s World building momentum. Clean food, great produce, a little Botox, plenty of recovery and a tropical storm to finish it all off. Not bad for island life.
