You don’t get it in a tattoo parlour. You usually get it after a scooter crash. And a few weeks ago… I got mine.
Nothing broken thankfully — just bruises, road rash… and what the locals call the Samui Tattoo.
Basically a scar that reminds you Thailand scooters are not toys.
The Ridiculous Part: A Heart-Shaped Scar
But here’s the ridiculous part… When it healed… Mine turned into a perfect LOVE ❤️ HEART. I swear. Out of all the shapes it could have been… The universe gave me a heart. Maybe I’m reading too much into it. Or maybe it’s because this island has completely stolen my heart anyway.
It’s given me:
- Sunrises
- Sea air
- Island life
- Ridiculous adventures
And now apparently… A permanent souvenir. The legendary Samui Tattoo.
